Frederick, grandson of the infamous Viktor Frankenstein, inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania.  Alongside hunchback henchman Igor and glamorous assistant Inga, he tries to resist the mistakes of his ancestors.  Eventually he succumbs and his experiment yields madcap success but with monstrous consequences. 

Whether you’re familiar with the original horror-movie spoof film or new to the stage show, you’ll love this monstrously funny musical comedy by the creators of The Producers.

About the company

Ellesmere Musical Theatre Company has been staging top quality productions since 1947.  Mixing classics with premieres, Ellesmere aims to offer something for all audiences, such as a NODA award winning production of Betty Blue Eyes, 9 to 5 The Musical, Sweeney Todd and the roof-raising, tap spectacular 42nd Street in March 2020.  Their first show back in The Montgomery after lockdown was a sell-out production of Nativity The Musical.

Public Transport

The nearest tram stop is Cathedral, within 5 minutes’ walk.
Buses stopping at the Arundel Gate interchanges are within 5 minutes’ walk.
Sheffield Train Station is approximately a 10 minute walk from the venue.

By Car

Access to Surrey Street is via Arundel Gate, onto Norfolk Street. A the top of Norfolk Street, turn right. The Montgomery is on the right side, facing the Town Hall.

A loading bay is available immediately in front of the theatre, and hourly on-street parking is available.
