The Knotted Hawk
The Greatest Robot Ever

This show is a part of Monty on the Move – an exciting programme of theatre brought directly to you whilst The Montgomery Theatre and Arts Centre is closed for important redevelopment works!

Performances will take place at Park Library , Duke Street, Sheffield, S2 5QP

The Greatest Robot Ever is a brand new, rhyming story created by The Knotted Project and Hawk Dance Theatre. This interactive dance theatre show is perfect for children 3-8 years
and their grownups.

Glitch the little robot doesn’t feel special like all the other amazing robots living in the Junk Yard. With the help of their best friend, Shift, they go on a quest to find the pieces to make
them stand out! Full of fun, adventure and self discovery; Will Glitch find what they were searching for all along?

Using projection, dance and storytelling, children interact with the performers throughout the show and take part in an engaging workshop exploring resilience, friendship and
wellbeing.

About the company

The Knotted Project & Hawk Dance Theatre have collaborated in an exciting partnership since 2016 to develop unique dance-theatre productions that have toured extensively across the UK and beyond.

Together, we make work for children aged under 10 and their families. Creatively both companies are driven by a passion for relevant and thought-provoking storytelling, stunning visual imagery and creating work for children and young people that makes a difference.

Our multi art form work tours to a broad range of settings such as libraries & theatres, both urban & rural, but always where audiences need is the greatest. Our work speaks to young audiences & families to inspire & motivate, whilst delivering strong messages such as the importance of identity, friendship & belonging.

We aim to bring exceptional quality performance to any space that we tour to, accessible and inclusive to all. We hope to leave audiences motivated & inspired to be creative & to value the role that creativity can play in their lives.

🎭PAY WHAT YOU DECIDE🎭

Here at The Monty, we want everyone to be able to come and see our shows! We pick them because we love them and we want you to love them as well! Read below to find out all about our PWYD scheme!

🎟️What is Pay What You Decide (PWYD)?🎟️

In lots of ways, it’s exactly what it sounds like! We want audience members to be able to choose what suits their budget for the shows that The Monty brings to the theatre. Our accessible Pay What You Decide scheme aims to ensure that the magic of performance is available to all, regardless of income. At the heart of our mission is inclusivity, and we believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the arts and one of the ways we do this is with an inclusive ticketing initiative..

🌞Won’t I Be Treated Differently for Picking a Cheaper Ticket?🌞

Absolutely not! No one is going to check, ask, mention or even acknowledge what kind of ticket you have bought, that’s not the point of the scheme. Our aim is to make sure you can get to see our shows regardless of any personal financial circumstance. All we care about is that if you book a ticket that you definitely use it so as many people as possible get to see our shows!

Join us in creating a space where art is not limited by financial barriers. Your choice, your experience – the power is in your hands. Let’s redefine the way we enjoy performances together.

🎉What’s not to love? An affordable theatre ticket and you get to be part of a more inclusive cultural community! Winner!🎉
