Wrongsemble
Tinsel

Tinsel is the tale of one magical little boy who dreams of being the fairy on top of the Christmas tree! He can sing, dance, and wear a sparkly tiara as well as anyone else can. But to get to the top, he’ll have to convince a whole tree of doubting baubles, naughty elves, and a naysaying nutcracker that anyone can shine if they’re just given the chance!

From Wrongsemble, (A Town Called Christmas) and Gala Durham this brand new festive production is perfect for ages 3+ packed full of original live music, puppetry and raucous storytelling.

About the company

Wrongsemble is a Leeds-based theatre company specialising in working with and creating work for young people, schools and families. We believe in art for everyone, with accessibility and ‘shared experience’ at the heart of all we do.

Formed in 2015, the company was born out of desire to make family theatre for all ages. Our artists are all from/based to the North of England, and we strive to ensure that they represent the excitingly diverse communities we serve.

In 2020 Wrongsemble won the Child Friendly Leeds Award for ‘Inspiring Creativity through Arts and Culture’,

as well as ‘Best Theatre Company’ in the Yorkshire Prestige Awards 2022.

🎭PAY WHAT YOU DECIDE🎭

Here at The Monty, we want everyone to be able to come and see our shows! We pick them because we love them and we want you to love them as well! Read below to find out all about our PWYD scheme!

🎟️What is Pay What You Decide (PWYD)?🎟️

In lots of ways, it’s exactly what it sounds like! We want audience members to be able to choose what suits their budget for the shows that The Monty brings to the theatre. Our accessible Pay What You Decide scheme aims to ensure that the magic of performance is available to all, regardless of income. At the heart of our mission is inclusivity, and we believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the arts and one of the ways we do this is with an inclusive ticketing initiative..

🌞Won’t I Be Treated Differently for Picking a Cheaper Ticket?🌞

Absolutely not! No one is going to check, ask, mention or even acknowledge what kind of ticket you have bought, that’s not the point of the scheme. Our aim is to make sure you can get to see our shows regardless of any personal financial circumstance. All we care about is that if you book a ticket that you definitely use it so as many people as possible get to see our shows!

Join us in creating a space where art is not limited by financial barriers. Your choice, your experience – the power is in your hands. Let’s redefine the way we enjoy performances together.

🎉What’s not to love? An affordable theatre ticket and you get to be part of a more inclusive cultural community! Winner!🎉
