Off The Shelf Festival
Just Different – Wayne Sleep
}
}

Wayne Sleep has danced with ballet legends Rudolf Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn, partied with Freddie Mercury and performed with Princess Diana, becoming her close friend. But behind the glitz and glamour, Wayne has always felt like an outsider. He reveals the difficulties for a working-class, gay man in handling prejudice and living through the Aids epidemic. In this moving – but also laugh-out-loud and gossip filled – memoir, Wayne shows how he overcame obstacles and danced his way to success, fulfilment and love.

Books will be on sale at the event and can also be ordered here: https://uk.bookshop.org/lists/off-the-shelf-2024
